Lots of floating islands ever since there was a big riff in [the air]. It was a big, swirling mess of storm clouds and noise. Then elfs and demons and fantasy creatures started coming through. Everyone kind of just... Adapted. Since chunks of ground are now suspended and floating in the air, the ocean life has grown in size, and air travel is fairly common between islands. They usually come down to a point like an ice-cream cone with buildings on top.

Avianthro's are 'bird people', aviaries for short. All of them have beaks, wings for arms, and bird-anatomy leg joints. Some have bird habits but most do not. They still like to sleep in nests, though, which can complicate living spaces. They came from somewhere with a lot of white fluffy clouds where it's usually sunny. Most are small in comparison to others and usually like to attach themselves to bigger species as a 'protective measure' that came from evolution that hasn't quite dissipated.

Witches have their own home [dimension] where magic is super strong. Like, strong enough to get to Earth and across the rip in [the air] strong. Familiars were completely made up by Earth, though, magic is a lot like science or baking. Witches work better in pairs so they each have someone to bounce an idea off of and for any odd question one may have. The 'eye of newt' stuff was also made up by Earth people. A lot of ingredients are from the witch uoısuǝɯıp and must be imported; A lot, if not all, are flora.

Anthropichthys' are 'fish people', aquatics for short. All have a frog-like relationship with air and water. Aquatics still have gills and need to carry around water for extra energy and a quick refresher, but they can still breathe air. Some aquatics have fins, but that is usually for deep-sea aquatics. It is very hard for an aquatic to travel up to a floating island since it's so far away.

Zoathrope's, 'animal people', are from a specific [dimension] where everyone is part animal and part human, though the percentage may vary. Some are humans turned into zoathrope's after being bitten or attacked as zoothropy is highly contagious. Most zoathrope's have the habits of their animal counterparts. A person who has been turned into a zoathrope is called a 'adzoic' or 'adzoions'. Adzoions have a week out of the month, usually during a full moon, where they turn into a more animal form of what they are. It's colloquial term is dislune week.

[REDACTED] is where demonus, angelesi, and other similar creatures originate from. The ones who come from [REDACTED] are the only ones who can pronounce it, and there is no written equivalent. Demons of all types subsist off of souls. Fruits are a sufficient replacement if soul collection is low. Angelesi of all types subsist off of prayers and dreams, so they usually camp out and hide in people's closets or rooms to feed. Vegetables are what they use as replacements for dreams, though it is very rare to see a starving angelesi.

Elfen 'candy' is a bunch of tobacco mushed together into bite-sized pieces, similar to chewing tobacco.
